Arts and Crafts fun at Whittier Senior Center!

Today, A-1 Home Care took a few members of our staff for an afternoon of fun and games at the Whittier Senior Center. We absolutely loved being able to come visit the seniors and staff members who work at the city, and had  lovely time making handmade Christmas ornaments and chatting with the hilarious and warm hearted elders present at the event.

We started by watching a retrospective about Christmas, presented in the form of a short Power Point. The images we selected were of classic holiday moments through the ages.

Then, we got to work on our Christmas ornaments. Here's Jackie giving an impromptu demonstration on how to use the glitter glue. 

We met lots of nice new friends.

Then we hosted a raffle for a special prize. This is Amanda Shanks, with Sue and Jackie. She is the Community Services Coordinator at the Whittier staff center with a holiday gift bag filled with cookies, bagel chips, hummus, and other goodies.
