Cervical Cancer Awareness Month/ A-1 Home Care La Mirada

Did you know that this month is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month? A-1 Home Care will focus our efforts on creating awareness this month in honor of our clients with cancer.

Part of living better with any time of cancer, including cervical cancer, is eating right.

Eating right can be hard for anyone, but it can get even tougher for elders recieving cancer treatments. Treatment may change your sense of taste. Nausea can be a problem. You may not feel like eating and lose weight when you don't want to. Or you may have gained weight that you can't seem to lose. All of these things can be very frustrating.

One of the best things you can do after cancer treatment is to start healthy eating habits. You may be surprised at the long-term benefits of some simple changes, like increasing the variety of healthy foods you eat. Getting to and staying at a healthy weight, eating a healthy diet, and limiting your alcohol intake may lower your risk for a number of types of cancer, as well as having many other health benefits.

A-1 Home Care provides professional caregiving services in La Mirada, and other cities in the Los Angeles and Orange County area. We invite local La Mirada seniors to join us next time at our local senior events. Keep updated on our blogs or facebook for juicy details about our latest happenings!
